Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), 2015, Educational research: Curriculum and Instruction
My research interest is mobile learning (m-learning) and primarily the research setting is in Kenya. Kenyan runners were participants in my dissertation where I investigated their use of smartphones in training, learning and to improve their daily lives. At the moment research focus is digital education on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The approaches are MOOC (Massive Online Ongoing Course) or blended learning. This is in collaboration with UNFPA to create m-learning courses in India, Kenya and Somalia. Other research projects are in areas of anti-doping and drones.
I teach pedagogical content knowledge of Social Science at Linköping University. I am responsible for field studies and global internships, as well as coordinator of exchange programmes with University of Nairobi and Addis Ababa University. In Kenya and Ethiopia I am director of two secondary schools, which are NGO projects of Global Relations.
